Sophie Conran is a busy mother, cook and designer whose background and learning are firmly rooted with her family. Inspiration and motivation come from the passion, creativity and energy surrounding life at home.
Her design work is based on the delicate balance of form and function. Form necessitates creating products that are pleasing to the senses and with function, the material and practicalities are vital.
Since partnering with Portmeirion in 2006, Sophie has created a number of award-winning tableware collections which have been designed to bring a touch of beauty to everyday dining.

The Sophie Conran for Portmeirion Floret & Arbor collection is made from organic Iberian clay, which when fired, is called stoneware. Stoneware has an earthy nature that is not only beautiful but durable, sustainable and has a wonderful feel. Crafted in Portugal, the products in our new Sophie Conran for Portmeirion range have been designed to last and made to be adored.
